Terms & Conditions
1️⃣ Authorization to Transport
SafeMile AutoShipping and its assigned carrier/driver are jointly authorized to operate and transport the customer’s vehicle between the designated pickup and drop-off locations as outlined in the auto transport contract.
2️⃣ Insurance Coverage & Damage Claims
Our partnered carriers provide cargo insurance coverage ranging from $100,000 to $250,000 per load, with a minimum of $750,000 in public liability and property damage insurance.
Any damage claim must be clearly noted at the time of delivery, signed by the driver and shipper, and submitted in writing within 15 days of delivery.
3️⃣ Personal Belongings in Vehicle
Personal belongings must be stored in the trunk area, not exceeding 100 lbs, and should exclude heavy or loose items. The carrier assumes no liability for damage resulting from improper or excessive loading. For overseas shipments, vehicles must be completely empty, except for factory-installed equipment. Items left inside may be removed at the shipper’s expense.
4️⃣ Pricing & Payment Terms
All quoted prices include a 7% discount for cash payments. Payments made via credit card or billing accounts are charged the full quoted amount. Door-to-door service is provided unless access is restricted. Pickup by appointment may incur an additional fee, facilitated via smaller carriers if necessary.
5️⃣ Vehicle Condition Requirements
Vehicles must be in good operational condition and contain no more than half a tank of fuel. SafeMile is not responsible for damage caused by leaking fluids, battery issues, antennas, or exhaust systems. Any damage must be reported on the condition report at the time of delivery.
6️⃣ Missed Pickups & Rescheduling
If the vehicle is not ready upon the carrier’s arrival as scheduled, a $75 rescheduling fee will apply. If the shipper is unavailable, an alternate person must be designated. SafeMile reserves the right to cancel the order without a refund if the vehicle becomes unavailable after scheduling.
7️⃣ Scheduling & Cancellations
While SafeMile AutoShipping strives for timely transport based on your preferences, exact pickup or delivery dates are not guaranteed. An administration fee of $200 applies to orders canceled more than 7 days after the requested pickup date. We are not responsible for rental vehicle expenses or mechanical issues during or after transport.
8️⃣ Non-Operational Vehicle Fee
An additional fee of $150 applies to all non-running vehicles. If a vehicle becomes inoperable during transport, this fee will be added to the final bill.
9️⃣ Payment Agreement & Legal Terms
The shipper agrees to pay all quoted charges and not dispute charges via credit card. This agreement is governed by the terms in the carrier’s bill of lading and tariff. SafeMile AutoShipping holds full authorization under the U.S. Department of Transportation (Broker License: MC-206532-B) and reserves the right to cancel any order at any time.
